Just an intro...
(Most often) Solo singer/guitar-player. I use a Digitech Jamman Looper
within a year the footswitch failed. The power adapter cord at the wall wart was the next to go.
I always loop "on the fly" rather than pre-load loops. Sure it's CD audio bit depth, but I have this thing about "guit-araoke" players. I mean hey, if 5 pre-recorded parts are playing and you add a guitar part, so what?
On the other hand, I do have a library of sound effects, like screeching car tires, explosions, etc, I leave on my laptop to load to the Jamman. But another really lame thing about the Jamman.. it has to be off-line to load samples over it's USB port. There are a number of logistic shortcomings with this model. Anyone found any hacks or workarounds for it's not so swift design flaws?
I always run my looper through mixer aux send and return through a channel to add eq, pan and efx control. Makes it easy to change from instrumet to vocal looping too.
